The Nerf Maverick is one of the New Nerf Guns. It is a slide-action blaster modeled after a revolver. The rotating chamber holds six darts and partially flips out from the left side to reload, however simple modification of the blaster by Nerf Gun enthusiasts has allowed the chamber to fully flip out for easier loading.

The chamber advances counter-clockwise whenever the trigger is pulled.The Nerf Maverick features a six-dart rotating barrel with easy flip loading so you don't have to waste any time while blasting enemy targets.

Rapid launching action increases your battle speed and accuracy. Other features include a pullback mechanism and auto-advancing barrel. The Nerf Maverick is a part of the N-Strike Nerf Guns, so you can snap it onto the Unity Power System and ratchet the NERF action up another notch.

This incredibly cool Nerf Maverick has a six-dart barrel with flip-open action for easy loading that puts you right back in the game. Blaster comes with six darts and instructions. The Nerf Gun Maverick can accept any type of Micro Dart, although the velcro-tipped Tagger Darts tend to jam the rotating cylinder. The Maverick features an N-Strike Rail, and includes six Suction Darts.

The first version of the Nerf Gun Maverick featured a blue body with a yellow cylinder. The current edition has a yellow body and black cylinder, and has a different texture. The Nerf Maverick is also available in a limited-edition clear version, which was initially available in the US promote the Nerf N-Strike video game through Gamestop stores.

The Nerf Maverick is probably the most recognizable of the Nerf Guns, and has been featured in media ranging from movies to webcomics. It is the most common Nerf Gun and is often found in stores which carry no other Nerf merchandise.
